The Pink Run

Breast Cancer Fun Run Inc. Philippine Society of General Surgeons RG Events Run for a Cause
Every year, the number of breast cancer patients in the Philippines continues to increase. It is also a fact that one out of 13 women in the Philippines get breast cancer and only five percent of it are inherited.

Three out of 100 (Filipino) women will get breast cancer before age 75 and one out of 100 will die before reaching 75. The sad part is that in the Philippines, 70 percent of those who die from the disease do not receive any kind of treatment. With these distressing statistics, experts emphasized the importance of women checking their breasts for lumps every month and to have them checked by their physicians annually.

While these numbers are alarming, The Philippine Society of General Surgeons, Inc. — which has been a staunch supporter of the fight against breast cancer since then invites you to be part of their worthwhile fun run dubbed as "The Pink Run" happening at Filinvest City in Alabang this October 30, 2016 with a mission raise awareness against breast cancer.
