Lauren Lim Road to RU Tough Enough?

KIX RU Tough Enough? Lauren Lim

As the world of marketing continues to expand, even the most savvy marketing manager has a tough task ahead with keeping up on recent developments in the promotion and marketing arena. In the case of Lauren, being a marketing manager of their family business is something that add more spice and challenge to work harder at the same time train to be the next "Toughest Pinoy."

Tomorrow, 10 finalists will compete for the title of the Toughest Pinoy 2016 where they will be asked to perform a series of physically demanding and mentally challenging tasks. These shortlisted finalists came from diverse backgrounds ranging from a hunk police officer, to event host, to a university student, fitness trainer, workforce coordinator, coach, fresh graduate, police women, and even a Businessman. The toughest of the toughies will pocket a grand prize of P250,000 at the final showdown that will be held at The Block Atrium, SM North EDSA.

The road to the next Toughest Pinoy 2016 motivates Lauren to be more fit and to build a lasting fitness habit. Here are some facts you need to know about Lauren Lim:

She used to run to try to lose weight but that all changed when she actually started enjoying running. She also like travelling and taking pictures of random things. Mahilig din humugot, alam mo na, ganyan talaga- nasanay na eh, says Lauren Lim.

- Finishing 1st in the women’s category, 3rd overall in my first marathon, TBR is one of the biggest accomplishment this year for her.

- Lauren grew up being taught to dream big, her dream is to one day qualify for the Boston Marathon, and run a good race.

"Whether it be a race or not. I run because I want to inspire people to run, to get fit and to try something new," Be Limitless!

- Apart from running, going to the gym and lifting weights takes up a lot of my time. As well as swimming and occasionally biking (yay triathlons). Work, family life and reading makes her busy.

- As a runner, to see people run with their hearts, who really try, who push themselves to finish is what makes me proud to be a runner.

- If there’s one thing a runner should do to win or finish the race, it would be to not give up, and keep pushing as long and as hard as your body allows you to, without hurting yourself. Run with your heart, not just with your mind. Want to win, want to finish, eventually you’ll get there. Don’t just dream, do something about it. Be hungry for that win/ finish.

- My accomplishments make me proud to be a runner, but what makes me even prouder are the people I’ve met, the people who have inspired others and the people who’ve changed lives because of running.

Physical Strength. Mental Endurance. Emotional Resilience.
