Burdado Run 2016 Manila Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau Rotary Club of Ermita Streetwise Events Management and Public Relations
Body art, self-graffiti, walking billboards, body bling, fashionable ink accessories. Each of these expressions depict the physical nature of the tattoo.

In some countries tattoo is an art of expressions, history and faith. In the Philippines people getting tattoos are being seen as a former convicts or jail inmates, robbers, or just anyone with bad intentions. The general perception the public of people getting tattoos for many reasons will get to change your insights if you get to know them well, their reasons such as: self-expression, a visual display of a personal narrative, sexual motivation, attention, artistic freedom, rebellion, reminders of spiritual/cultural traditions, identification with a group or even drunken impulsiveness, etc. Some people mark themselves for life to remind them of past family members or ancient sayings or religious scriptures or names of their current family/love interest.

Today with Streetwise Events Management and Public Relations (Streetwise) in the lead and in partnership with the Manila Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau of the local government of Manila and the Rotary Club of Ermita, people from all walks of life are urged to join the first-ever for-a-cause event dubbed as the "Streetwise Burdado (Color Run 2016" which will be held at Baywlak, Roxa Boulevard, Ermita-Malate, Manila (across Rajah Sulayman Park). The said activity was mounted for the Philippine Tattoo Community, which aim to promote the art tattoo industry in the country to eradicate the negative image of tattooed Pinoys.

Kenneth Motegrande, Streetwise Managing Director, said during the Event Media Launch at Vin55 Bar and Restaurant, Rizal Park, Manila, that he and his team, together with respected personalities in the tattoo industry such as Ricky Sta. Ana, Myke Sambajon, Norman Labao, Edwin Prananda, and Jake Cuerpo, wanted to organize a meaningful activity not just to improve the perception and credibility of tattooed individuals, but also to showcase the tattoo industry as an art division. They are also reiterated and wanted to persuade the public, particularly the tattoos Filipinos, to have a healthy lifestyle and exercise through sports and by running.

Participants will surely enjoy not just the running event but also the other line-up of activities, such as the throwing of various colored powders and non-stop music from rock and alternative bands, such as Intersections, April Morning Skies, Stilllife, and Planes.
