DBB Mountain Rockstar 2016

DBB Mountain Rockstar 2016 Mount Batolusong Mount Cayabu Mount Maynoba Rizal Mountains Tanay Mountains Trail Run 2016 Trail Running Ultra Trail Running
Running in the woods is one thing we can count on to be pretty much the same as it’s always been. It has become wildly popular around the globe in the past years and Philippines has been immune to the trend.

Sa bundok naka akyat ka na, nakatakbo ka pa. Getting dirty makes me feel way more bad-ass than I am. And when things spin out of control in an age of iPads and Droids it took trail running to satisfy the need for movement through nature. From the growing numbers of trail runners today you don't need a license to be a rock star, just be prepared for the best and do your own thing.

Approximately an hour or two away from the busy streets of the Metro, Tanay is one of the municipalities that have the most shares of mountains and Mount Batulosong is one of those. MGM Productions takes you back to the most awaited trail run in Tanay, the DBB Mountain Rockstar with 3 different distances. The 50Km ultra distance that will passed by the three beautiful mountains of Tanay with sea of clouds on it's backdrop Mts. Batolusong, the newly opened Maynoba and Cayabu. The race will also have shorter distances, the sweet 12Km and the thrilling 25Km categories.

The route of the Mt. Batolusong Mountain Run is a course where you can venture several times in the past that features gorgeous trails, green views, rolling pastures, ridges and deep ravines. The scenery is a perfect spot for taking photos, hiking and of course trail running. Mt. Batolusong is a bit difficult in the beginning (until you reach the Mapatag Plateau), but there are ample stop overs for a breather and catch views of the Sierra Madre Mountains.

Mount Maynoba Summit with sea of clouds at the back, awesome right?

Mt. Batolusong is not a tall mountain, but will definitely give you great views of the nearby Mt. Susong Dalaga peak. You can also have sights of Mt. Banahaw and Mt. Cristobal. It also has a couple of spots where elevation can cause you to huff or puff a bit.

Don’t wait as long as I did to try it. Here’s what you need to know to hit the trails safely and discover this wildly soothing side of running.
