Travel Guide: Calaguas Island

Beach Bicol Region Calaguas Island Camarines Norte
Summertime seems to be one of the most anticipated season where one can find a place to relax and escape the bustles of the city. So, go explore, relax and enjoy your summer getaway 2016.

It was Saturday morning when our team sent off Calaguas Island located at the northeastern fringe of Bicol. Framed by weathered rock formations, long stretches of white sand, make this island an increasingly popular destination of the region.

The calm turquoise sea that seamlessly merges with the beach and coves provides plenty of room for fun under the sun. Unfortunately, this is also the town's busiest time for tourism - summer season. So, ready yourself and bring with you swimming outfits as  you get Bicol's version of Boracay white and pure sand.

In the summer, it can be tough traveling in and out of town with the heavy traffic flow. Speaking of getting outside and enjoying the weather, exploring beaches is ideal for beach-goers this season.

A couple of folks in our group said the sunrises and sunsets on this corner are worth the travel. I get up early morning to see the spectacular sunrise and quite frequently go to the hilltop to see the awesome sunset.
