1st Solo Backpack - Padre Burgos

Borawan Island Dampalitan Island Padre Burgos Quezon Province Quezon Tourist Spot Solo Travel Tamarind Tree Resort
Solo travel doesn't necessarily mean traveling alone, sometimes you get meet people with the same outlook in life.

For so many times been wondering about the the essence about solo travel, this day I will be taking risk to explore my curiosity. Set on the 1st day of May 2015 I will conquer my fears. Yahoo!!! this time I will be an independent traveler...

I sent off Starmall Terminal in Alabang at 1:30 am bound to Lucena Grand Terminal, from grand I rode another public vehicle bound to my destination Padre Burgos in Quezon Province. That day I noticed a lot of backpackers spending their long weekend vacay at the nearest destination in the Metro; Cagbalete, Alabat, Atimonan, Alibijaban and Borawan Island. Along my way to Padre Burgos proper I seated near the driver seat, I was with a girl from padre burgos. She is an Elementary  Teacher in their town and I asked her where she came from she told me shes all the way from Bicol with her co-teachers for their 1 week vacation swimming along butanding of Sorsogon, echant by the world's famous cone-shaped volcano Mt. Mayon and enjoy Do-It-Yourself backpacks exploring Bicol Region. She is Ma'am Joy (a dakilang teacher of Padre Burgos) who I talk along the way and tour me virtually with the things I could enjoy at their town.

I was dropped by the minu bus driver at the main jump-off of padre burgos bound to tamarind tree resort and used to be the gateway to the three charming island in town (Damapalitan, Puting Buhangin and Borawan Island) I asked the locals where could I found the cheapest boat ride bound to Borawan Island since I'm soloist to minimized by budget, I found kuya Joseph. He opted me to visit the three islands but since I'm on a so called #TipidTravel I told kuya Joseph to dropped me at Borawan Island paying him 800 php.

It only takes 15-20 minutes from Tamarind shore to Borawan Island with BonPen (Bondoc Peninsula) and Mt. Cristobal at your north eastern part. Upon entering the island I pay 150 php registration fee before I take my photo-ops. haha Imagine roaming borawan without companion, it's bit awkward at some point but I must push through since this is on my bucket list.

Exploring Borawan Island

For those who loved camping you can bring tent and pitched along the beach campsite. After 30 mins walking and taking a photo with One Hike Fansign I requested kuya Joseph to take me to my next destination - Padre Burgos Church.
