Daraitan - Tinipak

Caving Mount Daraitan Mount Daraitan Dayhike Rizal Mountains Tanay Rizal Tinipak River
Sitting the borders of Tanay Rizal and General Nakar Quezon Province you'll reach the famous blockbuster mountain of Rizal, Mt. Daraitan.
This is probably one of the mountain that challenge me so far with 600 meters pure ascent with rockies and muddy trail.

Upon reaching the jump-off/barangay daraitan you need to cross this river (balsa fee 5 pesos each) and take trike for 10pesos per passenger and finally register at the jump-off (reg fee 20pesos while guide fee is required specially for newbie 500pesos fixed rate for day hike)

The hike was very difficult because we encountered this moderate to heavy rain from ascent to descent, we were very careful all the way because any wrong move we  do might lead us to injury or maybe sudden death.

This would I think the longest hike I encountered, nine hours of trekking on  a rainy day. huhu we experienced a lot of slides (dulas) thanks sa tungkod laking tulong mo samin. haha

Tinipak River
This river reminds me of my past adventure at Nueva Ecija's well kept secret Minalungao
National Park because of the beautiful limestone formation found here. The water were so clear and cold and the only word that comes to your mind when you get off this river was SARAP.!!! masarap maligp dito after the hike. hehe Tinipak river is best for camping, spelunking, and adventure/exploration.

How to get Daraitan:

From Manila via Public Vehicle
1. Ride a fx/jeep bound to Tanay Rizal.
2. From Tanay you can hire a trike to Barangay Daraitan fare 120.00 each.
3. Take Balsa/river crossing 5pesos each.
4. Ride a trike to Daraitan Barangay hall for 10pesos.
