Conquering Mount Talamitam

Batangas City Batangas Mountains Hiking Mount Talamitam Mt. Talamitam Nasugbu Batangas Talamitam Dayhike

" If you get the taste of the mountains once, you will always find the cities

horribly tasteless! "

Mt. Talamitam

Nasugbu, Batangas

Jump-off point: Sitio Bayabasan, Bo. Aga, Nasugbu Batangas (Km. 83)

Days Required/Hours to summit: 1 day / 1.5-2.2 hours

Climbing mountains is indeed part of my long bucket list. Its very refreshing, liberating, happy to take walk with natures. To start off, me and my hiking buddy went to the jump off at sito bayabayasan at Km. 83 in Nasugbu Batangas. Again an impromptu hike made that day. Unprepared backpacks,  camera, chips and ourselves. We paid 20 php for the registration at the DENR and 300 php for our guide.

We started our journey around 8:30. Mt. Talamitam is said to conquer for about 1.5 hrs - 2.2 hrs and that there is a two bridges in between. the first was cemented and the second bridge was made of bamboo.

At some point, I felt quitting. I thought mountain climbing was easy but when we are in the half of the mountain trail and saw this group of mountaineers I say to myself you can do it YSA.

After 2 hours of hike we reach the summit. Thanks to our guide for our pictures, by the way the reason why we hire guide is for us to have a photographer. hehehe

" I just love all this. The sights, the smells, making the effort and pushing yourself and getting something that's really hard to get. In the mountains, I earn it."
