Caleruega Church: Nasugbu Batangas

Batangas Church Caleruega Church Mount Batulao Nasugbu Batangas

Caleruega is church to visit; it’s between the boundary of Alfonso Cavite and Nasugbu Batangas. It’s almost two hours motorcycle drive from Parañaque, our ETD is 5:00 AM but due to repair (flat tire) of our service we had sent off from Sucat at 8:45.

There are many fruits and souvenir vendors along Aguinaldo high way but since I just brought one bag (not owned) we decided to buy when we went down.

We arrived Tagaytay Rotonda at 10:25 and we drop-by at KFC for breakfast, after eating we take Tagaytay-Nasugbu road that will lead us to go directly for our destination “Caleruega Church”.

You will just pay 30 php before getting in to this church which I say it’s really “Close to nature and Closer to God”. Since it’s only 11:35 when reach the area, we still have time to attend the mass. I remember father say “Tapikin/Bigayan ng magandang ngiti ang inyong katabi at sabihin peace be with you, nawa’y matupad ang hangarin at intensyon mo sa buhay” and before the mass end AND the jolly father say AMEN he reminds of something “Gawa rin ng assignment pag may time” at yung assignment ni father ay maging mapagpakumbaba at matuto magbigay ng walang hinahangad na kapalit. Finally the mass end, we take some pictures at the façade of the church, koi pond, hanging bridge and the fascinating garden of the church.

After Caleruega, we went at the t-shirt store outside the famous theme park Picnic Grove and we also drop-by Loumars Buko Pie for pasalubong then finally take directly Aguinaldo high way. Since we are HUNGRY JUAN we stop over Waltermart Damariñas to eat before we finally get home.
